Topic#1
I am getting a message on my screen saying I only have a few days left on my license. Why is this and what do I need to do?

Why:
This is a normal message which is a product of Great Lakes' licensing system. As a method of protecting ourselves against piracy (unauthorized use and/or distribution of C.I.M.S.) we have developed a licensing system which requires periodic renewal of the license.

What to do about it:
If you have let your license expire, you will receive an "Authentication Error" when you try to run C.I.M.S. Simply press the button marked "Quick Print" when you are at that screen. This will print out a 1(one) page license renewal request form from the default printer.

If you are simply getting the warning messages stating the number of days left in your license you can still print out the form as mentioned above. Simply enter any module of C.I.M.S., click on the "Help" menu found at the top of the screen, and choose "About". At the about screen, click on the button that looks like a license. This will bring you to a window with a "Quick Print" button you can use to print the license request sheet mentioned above.

After printing out the form, please fill it out and fax it in to the number shown. Great Lakes Software personnel will create your license and fax it back to you as soon as possible. you can then enter the new license number in the blank shown on the screen from which you printed the form. Click OK and you are done!
